As we start to generate volume we intend to continue to negotiate more favorable revenue shares and matching contributions from the vendors to support our causes.
Doing all this “on a shoestring”
 For us the main focus is making sure we are as cost effective as possible collecting money for good causes while still having maximum impact. We count on volunteer help for the web site and marketing. Doing this low cost includes using a free open source web site content management system called Joomla! We gladly recommend Joomla! to other users.
Our web hosting is through 1&1 and if you use their link here to sign up for their services Buy4Causes will get a revenue share from 1&1 that helps to pay for our web hosting.
Where does the money go?
The organizations we have selected to donate to are all well established and covers both green as well as humanitarian issues. The intention is to do an even distribution between the five selected organizations. However, in the beginning of 2010 we donated 100% of our commissions to the Red Cross after the earth quakes on Tahiti and in Chile.

We have no special interests in any of the organizations we donate to and are only interested in making a positive impact though a balanced combination of different initiatives.
We reserve the right to change the organizations funds are donated to over time when science and world priorities change in order to be the most effective in supporting the causes.
